Pineapple tarts.. yes, again! :D




This is my 3rd pineapple cookies baking attempt, 5th batch! :D Oh my gosh, I think this suits me more, I am simply not good at the open pineapple tarts :p When the dough is too soft, the dough sticks to the mould; when the dough is too hard (chill in fridge), the ridges won't show! arghhh.. haha. So I decided to do the "wrapped" kind of pineapple tarts. So this is it!

Pineapple Tarts Experiment... again!


After my first failed attempt on pineapple tarts (I threw them away the next day as the pastry part is really too soft :( It is sad to throw away bakes as it is efforts and food wasted.), I decided to minimize the risks by using a ready-made pineapple tarts. This actually saves a lot of time, and uncertainty :p I read from SSB's blog that the Bake King pineapple paste is actually quite good. I managed to find it at the AMK Hub NTUC. For $4.70, I think it is totally worth it, it actually eliminates the tedious process totally :D Of course, I would like to prepare the paste myself again one day :p

CNY Peanuts Cookies


After my maiden attempt on pineapple tarts, I continued with more adventure - it's peanut cookies this morning! I have been reading the recipe from Food 4 Tots over and over again. Thank you for sharing this detailed recipe! I always appreciate bloggers who took the pain to write down the steps in detail, and she even included step-by-step photos - really helpful to newbies like me. I am grateful :)

CNY Cookies Experiement


CNY is one month away, I did not plan to bake pineapple tarts because it looks too difficult for my amateur skills :p nevertheless, I spent a few days reading other blogs on the recipes, and yesterday, I just had to bake these - it sounds so fun! I couldn't sleep well when i keep thinking about how to bake something :D

I followed the pineapple tart from Delicious Asian Food. Thank you DAF for sharing this recipe :)

I am not sure how to go about choosing suitable pineapples, so I decided to do a little experiment by using the canned pineapples. That way, if the cookies turn out to be yucky, I will not cry over the hard work grating the fresh pineapples :p
